Early Years Educator

- Base rate of between $34.93 and $37.24 per hour plus 12% super and allowances/loadings.
About the role:
Join our Early Years Team and make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and families in our community. As an Early Years Educator, you will care for and educate children aged 12 months to 5 years, delivering engaging, play‑based programs that reflect each child's individual needs, interests and stage of development. Working collaboratively within a supportive team, you will provide inclusive, nurturing and developmentally appropriate education and care in accordance with the Children's Services Regulations 2020 and Council's Playhouse Policies and Procedures.
A typical day might include:
- Care for and educate children aged 12 months to 5 years, delivering play‑based learning experiences that support their development.
- Plan and implement educational programs that reflect each child's individual needs, interests and abilities.
- Provide a safe, inclusive, welcoming and clean environment that supports children's wellbeing and development
- Build strong, respectful partnerships with families, supporting open communication about their child's care and development
- Contribute to the planning, implementation and evaluation of the educational program
- Work collaboratively within a team to ensure children are included, respected and supported, while maintaining confidentiality, supervising play and routines, and undertaking set‑up, cleaning and administrative tasks
What you will bring to the role:
- Relevant qualification in Early Childhood
- Demonstrated experience working with children aged 0-5 years
- Proven experience in planning and delivering age‑appropriate educational programs that support the developmental needs of all children within the service
