Infringement Review Officer
- Band 6 salary range of between $96,414.06 and $104,911.21 per annum plus 12% super and annual leave loading.
- Permanent full time Position

About the role:
As the Infringement Review Officer, you will play a key role in maintaining the statutory integrity of the end-to-end infringement lifecycle. This includes assessing applications, authorising technical correspondence, and ensuring accurate and compliant record management.
As a subject matter expert, you will provide authoritative advice on legislative and regulatory requirements, ensuring all infringement processes are carried out in line with statutory obligations. Working closely with the Manager, you will also contribute high-level technical expertise to the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of policies and procedures that support the effective administration of appeals, reviews, and prosecutions.
A typical day might include:
- Ensuring the timely and accurate processing of infringement correspondence and review outcomes
- Managing statutory processes across the infringement lifecycle, ensuring compliance with legislative requirements
- Communicating infringement review outcomes to the community in a clear and consistent way, supporting transparency and procedural fairness
- Analysing infringement data to identify trends, monitor performance, and inform continuous improvement initiatives
- Collaborating with internal business units to promote best practice, consistency, and operational efficiency across processes
- Providing specialist technical advice and preparing authoritative written responses for internal and external stakeholders
- Liaising with statutory bodies and contributing to education and awareness initiatives to support organisational and community compliance
What you will bring to the role:
- Experience in developing internal review decisions, exercising statutory discretion and drafting legally defensible determinations
- Knowledge of the implementation of statutory instruments and local laws, and the preparation of documentation for the enforcement or prosecution
- Capability to coordinate and support cross departmental consistency in infringement processes.
