Roads and Drains Maintenance Officer (Unsealed Roads) - Internal Applicants Only

Permanent full time position

Competitive salary of between $69,022.11 and $73,587.09 per annum plus 12% super, annual leave loading and allowances

This position is based within the Roads, Drains and Cleansing unit at the Operations Centre, within the Operations Directorate, which is responsible for delivering community services and maintaining existing road and drainage infrastructure.

What a typical day will look like;

The position is responsible for delivering road and drainage works in accordance with the programmed maintenance schedules for the Shire's road and roadside network. Key duties include plant operation, traffic control, general laboring, road and drainage maintenance, material hauling, and other tasks as directed by the Team Leader.

What you will bring to the role;

  • Current Victorian driver licence with heavy rigid endorsement
  • Trade certificate or equivalent, completion of TAFE accredited/industry based training course and/or demonstrated previous experience in municipal roadside, road and drainage maintenance
  • Accreditation in Traffic Control preferred but not essential
