Hurstbridge Hub Development Officer (Internal Applicants Only)

Join our passionate Community Partnerships/ Community, Events and Place unit as the Hurstbridge Hub Development Officer! In this role you will provide customer service and administration for the Hurstbridge Community Hub while supporting its daily operations in line with Community Facilities policies and practices. You'll collaborate with the broader Community, Events and Place Unit to activate the Hub, strengthen community relationships through a place-based development approach, and build its profile through inclusive promotion, marketing, and community engagement.

What a typical day will look like;

  • Providing customer service and administration for the Hurstbridge Community Hub.
  • Supporting the operation of the Hurstbridge Community Hub, ensuring alignment to Community Facilities policies and practice.
  • Working with the broader Community, Events and Place Unit to activate the Hub and strengthen community relationships using a place-based community development approach
  • Building the profile of the Hub using inclusive promotion, marketing and community engagement.

What you will bring to the role;

  • Experience in integrated community facility support and working with broad stakeholder groups to create a community space that is welcoming, safe, active and inclusive.
  • Demonstrated customer service and administration ability to effectively manage the daily operations, enquiries, bookings, records and invoicing of the facility, ensuring users and visitors are highly satisfied.
  • Experience in asset-based community development, working with communities to support community led initiatives.
  • Experience in activating places and/or event and program development within a community development framework.
  • Demonstrated achievements in community engagement, customer service excellence and continuous improvement in service delivery.
  • Capable of developing quality communications using a variety of formats including brochures, social media, notice boards, reports and e-newsletters.
